Cole & Mason Hawaiian Black Salt
Eat our Hawaiian Black Salt with a seared halibut steak. Season the halibut with Hawaiian black salt and black pepper. Fry at a high heat for four or five minutes on each side until golden. Spritz with fresh lemon juice, add capers and serve.
Why not try exploring your dark side. The inky black makes for an eye-catching finishing touch. Scatter a few grains over a rustic loaf, scallops or shellfish for a bit of drama.
ORIGIN
As the name suggests, our Hawaiian black salt is harvested off the coast of Hawaii, from the waters of the Pacific.
Despite also being known as 'black lava salt', the colour doesn't actually come from volcanic lava. Instead, it's blended with activated charcoal, which some say is good for the gut.
We don't know about that. But we do love the way it instantly livens up any plate.
