Cole & Mason Organic Rock Salt
Eat our Organic Rock Salt with a green lentil salad. Green lentils, charred greens, torn herbs and chunks of creamy goat's cheese. Toss them together, then dress with balsamic vinegar, a glug of olive oil and a good pinch of rock salt.
Why not try adding salty to sweet. Deepen the sweetness of chocolate or caramel with a pinch of salt. Rock salt works best, because it doesn’t dissolve the way table salt does. So you get little hits of salt, without the whole sauce tasting salty.
Unlike sea salt, which comes from seawater, rock salt is mined underground, where ancient seas once flowed hundreds of millions of years ago.
In the ancient world, it was so precious that people used it as currency. Over the centuries, it's been used in everything from religious ceremonies to Egyptian mummies. But we think it works best in the kitchen.
