Cole & Mason Ground Turmeric
Eat our Ground Turmeric with a classic curry. The warm earthiness of turmeric counteracts stronger, sharper spices like cumin, paprika and pepper, helping them blend with onion and garlic. Or brew a winter soup with turmeric, carrot and ginger for a warm-your-bones feeling.
Why not try spicing up your breakfast. Add turmeric to scrambled eggs for an Indian-inspired twist on a classic British breakfast. The eggs take on a radiant colour, too. And it's not just for your breakfast foods – sprinkle some into your morning latte for extra warmth.
Turmeric's bright golden hue means it’s often used to colour foods – but it's got more than that going for it. Often called a 'hero herb', turmeric has extensive health benefits. The spice has been credited with helping with a range of problems from joint pain to digestive issues.
It comes from the root of a tropical, perennial plant native to southern Asia (ours is from India). Its roots look a bit like ginger, but they're bright orangey-yellow inside.
