Cole & Mason Curry Powder
Eat our Curry Powder with a butter chicken. Chunks of soft chicken smothered in curry sauce and served with steamed basmati rice. The richness of the butter smooths out the heat of the curry powder.
Why not try firing up a snack. Mix curry powder with sea salt flakes and sprinkle over some popcorn. Throw in a little cinnamon to bring some sweetness in. Or sprinkle into traditional houmous and scoop up with a fresh naan or roti.
Curry powder is a blend of a few different spices, including turmeric, chilli powder, coriander, cumin, ginger and pepper, and sometimes fennel, caraway, clove, nutmeg and asafoetida.
Although curry powder makes use of classic Asian tastes, it’s thought to be more of a Western invention – an effort to replicate the flavours of Indian cooking.
