Cole & Mason Chardonnay White Wine Vinegar
Eat our Chardonnay White Wine Vinegar with a fresh fish dish. This vinegar has a light, crisp flavour. So it goes well in a marinade for fresh fish and seafood. Mix together parsley, shallot, garlic and ginger, with a bit of sugar to sweeten it up. Then add the white wine vinegar with some lemon juice, and blend until it's a good marinade consistency.
Why not try adding it to fruit and vegetable dishes. The lightness of this vinegar's flavour means it sits nicely in salads and soups. To energise a blueberry and spinach salad, whisk the vinegar with oil, sugar, seeds and salt. Dress the salad, then finish with chopped nuts for crunch. For soup, blend some of the vinegar into a gazpacho. (If you like a bit of extra heat, add some cayenne pepper too.)
Our Chardonnay white wine vinegar comes from the Oster family – a small producer in Mosel, Germany, who've been cultivating vineyards for there for 15 generations.
They use white Chardonnay grapes, ripened in old oak vats. The result is a fruity, mild vinegar that still has the characteristic aroma of the base wine.
