Cole & Mason Whole White Pepper Corns
Eat our Whole White Pepper Corns with a plate of fresh squid. Coat squid in a mixture of egg and milk and toss it in a breadcrumb mixture with white pepper. The strong heat (but subtle aroma) adds some fire and enhances the squid’s natural flavour.
Why not try mixing it with delicate Thai flavours. White peppercorn is less aromatic than black peppercorn. So it won’t overpower flavours like ginger, or coriander. Try it with lemongrass chicken. Add some fire to a seemingly innocent custard-based ice cream with musky white peppercorns.
White Pepper is produced from fully ripe berries of the vine Piper nigrum (black pepper berries are picked before they ripen). In Indonesia, cooks started removing the berries’ husks before they’re dried. This makes them less aromatic, but hotter and sharper.
