Cole & Mason Mustard Powder
Eat our Mustard Powder with a beef joint. Roll a beef joint in mustard powder and plain flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Roast to create a crust, then serve with a platter of potatoes and honey-roasted carrots.
Why not try adding to creamy dishes. When you're making the cheese sauce for a macaroni cheese, add some generous sprinkles of mustard powder to give the sauce more depth. Similarly, try mixing it into a cheese fondue with some white pepper to help cut through the richness.
The English finessed making mustard powder in the 18th century. It's created by milling and finely sieving yellow, black and brown mustard seeds to remove the husks.
And, unlike mustard seeds, it's the easiest form of mustard to try and make your own mustard condiment with.
